ESPAnet Annual Conference Warsaw 2023  (onsite only)

Submission of paper and book abstracts for the 21st ESPAnet Annual Conference starts on the 15th of February 2023.

Submission deadline: 14th of April  2023.

Notification about acceptance: by 15th of May 2023

To submit an abstract, please create an account in the conference management tool (ExOrdo) and follow the step-by-step submission process: https://espanet2023.exordo.com

In the submission process you will be asked to:

– provide your affiliation,

– indicate the TRACK (=stream) you wish to apply for:

  • in case of paper abstract choose the TRACK your paper fits best to
  • in case of book abstract please choose “Pitch-your-book sessions”
  • in case of project abstract please choose “Pitch-your-project session”

– provide an abstract of up to 500 words,

– name (co-)authors, provide their e-mail addresses, and indicate if they plan to attend the conference and/or present the paper/book/project (if accepted).  

 – accept the data processing consent (for each author)

At the end of your paper abstract submission you will be asked to indicate the type of paper you are submitting (TOPIC). Please choose one of the following options:

  1. empirical: quantitative study

  2. empirical: qualitative study

  3. theoretical contribution

  4. methodological contribution

  5. other

For TRACKS  10 and 16 you will additionally need to choose a THEME.

If you are submitting an abstract of an empirical paper we suggest you include the aim of the paper, data and methods used as well as the summary of major results. 

Abstracts will be ranked by the Stream Convenors, but it is the Conference Organizing Committee that will inform successful applicants by 15th of May 2023

At the end of your book abstract submission you will be asked to indicate the publisher of your book. This is for statistical purposes only. We will not be evaluating proposals based on the publishing house. 

The book you submit must meet the following criteria: it should have been published in either 2022 or 2023, be relevant to the general research interests of the ESPAnet community, and not have been previously presented at any ESPAnet conference.

 Book abstracts will be ranked by the Conference Organizing Committee based on the extent the book fits the general research interests of the ESPAnet community and the number of presentation slots available during the conference. 

At the end of a project abstract submission you will be asked to indicate the funder of your project. The abstract of a project proposal should include: title of the project, short description of the project, countries covered, name and affiliation of Principal Investigator, names and affiliations of other participants in the project, full name of the funding institution and grant number, link to the project website or other website with project information.

Project abstracts will be ranked by the Conference Organizing Committee based on the extent the project fits the general research interests of the ESPAnet community and the number of poster slots available during the conference.
